Ronald Baker, aka “Serious”, was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He used to be the brother that was posted on the block 24/7 but after beginning school at High School For Recording Arts decided to take his life in another direction. He began writing lyrics at the age of 11 and has spent the last three years perfecting his skills. A producer himself, Serious draws inspiration from artists like Redman, Wu Tang, NAS, Mobb Deep, Mos def, Busta Ryhmes, LL Cool J, Dead Prez, and the one and only B.I.G.

He is currently learning as much about the music business as he can to prepare himself for a career as an artist. Serious believes artists should always stay true to reality and one day hopes to be able to lift himself and his crew out of the street lifestyle that has claimed the lives of too many. He currently sits on the ALR A&R Committee helping choose artists to work with.
