Chantel
R&B singer, Chantel has been a student at High School for Recording Arts since 2006. She has been part of many projects at the school. She is also a vocalist for the HSRA Jazz Combo. Chantel has won 3 Wolfie Awards, 2007 Female Artist of the Year, 2008 Female Singer of the Year, 2008 Song of the Year “Friend”.
Her song and video for Friend is featured on the Click 4 Life CD. Friend was also on The Fo-Show Top 4 for 9 weeks and reaching the number 1 spot twice.

Chantel, congratulations on being the new spotlight artist! You so deserve it. From blowing away all those State Farm Youth Advisory Board members in Wash., D.C. with “Friend”, to traveling to Milwaukee to shot your video, electrifying the crowd at River Center with “Family”, performing twice at the State Capitol and the incredible vocal performance you and Shelby put on at Orchestra Hall, I don’t know what to say. Actually, I do - you are an incredible artist and person and it was an honor working with you last year. I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us in ‘09-’10.
